RadarJet is the most advanced application for people who wish to see dynamic weather changing. The accuracy of the data is provided by NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). RadarJet displays live radar images from all NOAA Radars, including NEXRAD (with its new Doppler Dual Polarization model) and TDWR, showing the latest information about cloud density, precipitation rates and wind characteristics on Google Maps around selected location or for the whole territory of US.
Our application offers you multiple map styles, GPS locator, Radar Legend and map search. You have an access to various product types such as Layer Composite Reflectivity, Base reflectivity, Base Radial Velocity, Composite Reflectivity, Layer Composite Reflectivity etc. Switching from one product to other, you get radar images displaying echo intensity (reflectivity), maximum echo intensity (reflectivity), cloud density and relative velocity of the wind.
The uniqueness of our application is in providing absolute velocity of the wind. The radar determines only relative velocity but using vector computations our application displays values of absolute velocity, more precise and accurate velocity of the wind. Moreover our application defines the direction of the wind according to movements of air masses. Number of the radars influences the accuracy of the absolute velocity values, the more radars cover selected location the more accurate data will be.
